Job Summary:

Assist Accounts Payable Manager with accounts payable functions.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Process purchase orders, check requests and travel reimbursements
  • Process manual payments as needed
  • Provide branch customer service by answering questions and resolving vendor issues
  • Research returned checks
  • Void checks and vouchers as required
  • Assist in 1099 Processing
  • Check and sort incoming mail
  • Mail out checks as requested
  • Pull invoices and re-file as necessary
  • Reconcile petty cash
  • Maintain the Vendor Master information and set up new vendors
  • Scan all manual invoices into the imaging system


Additional Responsibilities:

  • Conform in all respects with applicable federal, state and local laws, regulations, ordinances and other orders and to all company policies, procedures and directives from supervisors.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested by management.

Machines, Tools and Equipment: 

  • Operate standard office equipment (i.e., personal computer, facsimile, copy machine, printers, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office-Outlook, Word, Excel. Knowledge of Quicken and JD Edwards system desired.

Education, Training, Experience and Licensing/Certification Requirements:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; three to six months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
