Exterro is looking for an Account Executive with experience selling into the Federal Government. The ideal candidate for this individual contributor role will have a solid understanding of selling into Federal government agencies, coordinating pipeline development efforts with partners, distributors and system integrators. The candidate must have the ability to demonstrate a consistent track record of exceeding sales objectives, including new pipeline development and annual sales targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop effective relationships with partners to develop pipeline within civilian or DoD government agencies and/or intelligence community
  • Achieve quarterly and annual quotas as set forth by management
  • Maximize sales productivity through consistent use of defined sales processes
  • Accurate forecasting, tracking, and reporting within Salesforce
  • Demonstrate competency in the growing E-Discovery, Forensics and Privacy marketplace
  • Partner withDirector of Salesand other internal resources to build outassignedterritory


Skills and experience:

  • Ideally based in the DC Metro area (Virginia, DC, Maryland)
  • 2+ years successful inside sales experience within the Federal Market
  • Background in eDiscovery or digital forensics software is a plus
  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills and be able to clearly and effectively articulate Exterro’s value
  • Must be organized, detail and process oriented
  • Track record of working closely with customers to produce solutions that exceed their business expectations in a rapidly evolving technology domain
  • Full understanding of the US Government’s acquisition processes and IT budget planning
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, web conferencing tools, and salesforce.com
  • Travel both locally and nationally for Trade Shows, customer and Headquarters visits (20%)
