SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for working with livestock hogs.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Driving, sorting, weighing, tattooing, marking, and penning of hogs while keeping accurate inventories and head counts. Requires moving hogs safely and effectively with minimum stress to the animals. Must follow all10 humane handling guidelines and policies. Responsible for safety, including personal safety and food safety. Requires performing light building maintenance and showcase duties when not working with the livestock. Must have the ability to communicate with all levels of team members and government officials plus written skills to read and complete paperwork. Must be able to work in a very fast paced environment. Basic computer knowledge is preferred. Must be able to work in a very fast paced environment. Ability to lift 70 pounds or more unassisted and stand for extended periods of time 8 to 10 hours excluding beak time.

REQUIREMENTS:

A resume is required and must contain contact information, related work experience/history, skills, and educational information. Preference given to candidates with prior knowledge and experience working with cattle or hogs. And those with humane animal handling procedures process experience.
