What We Are Looking For

We are looking for a positive and experienced leader looking for a long-term position that enjoys physical work, guiding staff, and ensuring results. The successful candidate will also enjoy taking on new duties as the role progresses. The ideal candidate will have three years of experience working in a manufacturing plant environment, one year of experience in a Lead role.

The Team Lead in the Finishing department provides direction, guidance, and leadership to the operators in the department. This position is responsible for managing daily workflows, producing strategies that help drive business initiatives, and relaying clear instructions to team members.

The ideal candidate will also have:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • A customer focused team player with strong communication, problem solving and organizational skills.
  • Understanding of Lean manufacturing, quality standards, and GMP.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of employees and a service orientation.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Must possess high standards of personal integrity.
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed.
  • The ability to pass a drug test, and criminal background check prior to employment.
What You Will Do
  • Serve as Lead for production activities for the finishing department
  • Train other department team members, including temps
  • Coordinate production activities within the department
  • Act as the go-to person for daily questions in the department
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for the production machines in the department
  • Relay issues and concerns to the production manager
  • Review production quality control
  • Incorporate shop floor organization and plant cleanliness among plant personnel
  • Follow compliance on policies, procedures, processes, and general company information
  • Additional related responsibilities and duties may be assigned as needed
