1 + 2 Maintenance Training Program
Get paid while you learn a trade. Earn maintenance pay plus attendance incentive while being enrolled in the Electromechanical Technology Program at Central Community College, Attend Class at the Central Community College for 12 months in the morning, this program allows you to attend school for 4 hours and work /job shadow for 4 hours
Monday thru Thursday off Friday and Saturday; work full shift on Sunday.
Position Specific
Must be willing to work any department or shift depending on department needs. Maintenance crews may run 6 days per week and will include shifts on Sundays and some major holidays when necessary.
Job Summary:
Positions are responsible for keeping machinery running to maintain continuous production. This includes repairing and maintaining the operating conditions of the machinery and Industrial equipment used in the beef processing industry, troubleshooting problems that occur in the day- to-day operation of the facility. The position requires performing work involving hydraulics, electrical, plumbing, conveyor maintenance, 3-phase wiring, AC/CD control wiring, welding and pneumatic systems. The Team Member will also set up, adjust and break down production line machinery and complete daily documentation that is required.
Must be willing and able to work in all environments of our processing facility such as Production, Harvesting, Cut/Converting, Rendering and Load-out areas. Must be willing and able to work around the sight and the smell of meat products or any other product present when processing meat. Environment is wet, humid, hot and cold. Temperatures can range 35 to greater than 90 degrees. Lifting requirement varies from 0-61lbs. Ability and willingness to work varied shifts and extended hours including weekends.
REQUIREMENTS:
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must have a minimum of 6 months mechanic work experience or graduated from the one plus two programs.
Communication Skills: Must be able to communicate verbally, written and comprehend all materials given through college coursework and at the plant to include but not limited to computer training and manuals.
Rehire criteria is a minimum waiting period of 180 days.
Rehire Rule of no more than 3 times worked at Tyson Foods.
